Його тематика безпосередньо відповідає цілям проєкту Erasmus+ Jean Monnet EU-TRUST «Upholding Trust: Advancing EU Values in Audit, Ethics, and Public Accountability in Financial Governance», спрямованого на поширення знань про європейські підходи до регулювання аудиту, професійної етики та публічної підзвітності.

On 14 October 2026, the webinar “Erasmus+ EU-TRUST: European Values of Trust, Ethics and Responsibility in the Accounting and Auditing Professions” brought together over 100 participants as part of the international #ErasmusDays 2026 initiative. The event focused on European standards of professional ethics, auditor independence, financial reporting transparency and public accountability.
Jointly organised by Zaporizhzhia National University, Sumy National Agrarian University and West Ukrainian National University, the webinar connected academic and professional communities across Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and Ternopil. This cooperation demonstrated the value of inter-university partnerships in promoting EU values, strengthening professional education and supporting Ukraine’s European integration.
The discussion addressed core principles of European financial governance, including integrity, objectivity, professional independence, transparency and accountability. These principles underpin reliable financial reporting, strengthen public trust in accounting and auditing, and support the alignment of Ukrainian professional practices with EU standards.
The webinar also provided a platform for engagement among students, academics, researchers and practitioners. Particular attention was given to integrating European professional standards into higher education, preparing future accountants and auditors, and supporting continuing professional development.
Held under the #ErasmusDays 2026 theme “Learning and Growing: Skills for the Future,” the event directly supported the objectives of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet EU-TRUST project, “Upholding Trust: Advancing EU Values in Audit, Ethics, and Public Accountability in Financial Governance.” The project promotes knowledge of EU approaches to audit regulation, professional ethics and public accountability, with a particular focus on their relevance to Ukraine.
The webinar demonstrated strong shared interest among Ukrainian universities and professional communities in advancing a culture of trust, integrity and accountability. By connecting three universities and engaging over 100 participants, the initiative contributed to the exchange of European practices, closer cooperation between academia and the profession, and Ukraine’s progressive alignment with EU financial governance principles.
