Improvement of educational content on organic farming in Ukraine in accordance with the EU Action Plan (Organic-EU)

promoting the improvement of teaching and research activities in the field of organic agriculture, taking into account new EU Organic Action Plan and national CAP Strategic Plans for the European Union;

promoting the strengthening of the scientific debate on sustainable agriculture and food systems in Ukraine;

promoting dialogue between the academic world and entrepreneurship, in particular through involvement and suitability for small and medium-sized farming;

reaching the general public and spreading knowledge about the EU beyond the academic classrooms among small and medium-sized business entities engaged in or planning to engage in organic farming.

Planning

Objective 1: teaching the course “Progressive agricultural technologies for the production of organic products” in Ukrainian for SNAU master’s students;

Objective 2: teaching the course “Certification of producers of organic products in accordance with EU requirements” in Ukrainian for SNAU master’s students;

Objective 3: teaching the course “Marketing of organic products: labeling, promotion, branding” in Ukrainian for SNAU master’s students;

Objective 4: conducting open lectures on the course “Progressive agrarian technologies for the production of organic products” in English for students of the Sumy college of Henan Institute of Science and Technology (China);

Objective 5: conducting open lectures on the course “Certification of producers of organic products in accordance with EU requirements” in English for students of the Sumy college of Henan Institute of Science and Technology (China);

Objective 6: conducting trainings according to the adapted comprehensive course “Organic production: agricultural technologies, certification, marketing” for representatives of agrarian business;

Objective 7: filming and posting of the cycle of lectures “Organic production: agricultural technologies, certification, marketing” on the websites of 22 territorial communities of the Sumy region for the inclusive category of the population (forcefully displaced persons);

Objective 8: conducting a career orientation lecture “Organic vs traditional: what’s the difference?” for graduates of schools of the Sumy region;

Objective 9: publication of research results in open access scientific journals, scientific papers and public media.
