The INTEREPO project is developing an open Knowledge Platform on integrated reporting and sustainability reporting. It will bring together analytical and practical resources that help users understand EU requirements, assess corporate disclosures and apply European approaches in research, management and business.
The Platform serves students, educators, researchers, accountants, auditors, financial managers, business representatives, public authorities and civil society. Its resources will connect regulatory requirements with real management decisions and explain how financial performance, environmental and social impacts, risks, opportunities and corporate governance form a complete view of an organisation.
Policy and analytical reports. Concise, evidence-based publications will examine EU regulation, implementation challenges and practical recommendations for universities, businesses, professional bodies and public authorities.
Practical case studies. Cases based on real corporate reports will support the analysis of double materiality, climate risks, sustainability metrics, corporate governance and the connection between sustainability information and financial performance.
Focused news and analytical updates. The Platform will cover developments in the CSRD, ESRS and related EU initiatives, as well as new guidance, research, corporate practices and professional debates in integrated reporting.
Tools and templates. Practical resources will help users identify material impacts, risks and opportunities, develop relevant metrics and test the connection between strategy, targets, actions and results.
Research publications and EU resources. Users will gain access to INTEREPO research outputs, official EU documents and selected resources for further professional analysis.
Every resource will draw on verified evidence and provide direct links to EU legislation, official standards, corporate reports and academic publications. The Platform will grow throughout the project and preserve its main analytical and practical outputs in open access.
The first resource is now available. Case Study No. 1, “Enel: How Can One Report Connect Financial Performance, Sustainability and Long-Term Value?” examines the integrated annual report of a major international energy group.
The case demonstrates the practical use of double materiality and asks users to trace the chain: material matter → risk or opportunity → management action → KPI → financial effect. It includes verified sources, analytical tasks and questions for professional discussion.
