Upholding Trust: Advancing EU Values in Audit, Ethics, and Public Accountability in Financial Governance (Project No. 101236015) is a Jean Monnet Module designed to align Ukraine’s auditing sector with European Union standards. The project institutionalizes core EU values – integrity, transparency, and public accountability – within the national financial management system.
Duration: 36 months (November 2025 – October 2028).
Core Strategic Objectives: The initiative addresses systemic deficiencies in financial governance by implementing three regulatory pillars:
- Mandatory Auditor Rotation: Preventing institutional capture through objective oversight.
- Service Restriction: Eliminating conflicts of interest by limiting non-audit services.
- Professional Self-Regulation: Empowering the auditing community to maintain high ethical standards.
Key Project Activities:
- Curriculum Modernization: Integrating EU directives and case-based simulations into Bachelor and Master university courses.
- Global Online Education: Hosting an open lecture series on financial integrity and public trust.
- Professional Empowerment: Delivering specialized webinars and workshops for auditors and national policymakers.
- Policy Research: Producing six academic publications, including Scopus-indexed research, comparing EU and Ukrainian practices.
- Knowledge Hub: Launching a bilingual 24/7 Knowledge Platform providing updates on European audit regulations.
Impact: By bridging the gap between local practices and EU mandates, the project restores public trust and strengthens Ukraine’s path toward European integration
