{"id":114,"date":"2026-09-25T09:41:59","date_gmt":"2026-09-25T06:41:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.snau.edu.ua\/eufor\/?p=114"},"modified":"2026-09-25T09:44:19","modified_gmt":"2026-09-25T06:44:19","slug":"eufir-grant-agreement-signed-a-three-year-jean-monnet-module-begins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projects.snau.edu.ua\/eufor\/en\/2026\/09\/25\/eufir-grant-agreement-signed-a-three-year-jean-monnet-module-begins\/","title":{"rendered":"EUFIR Grant Agreement signed: a three-year Jean Monnet module begins"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sumy National Agrarian University and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency have signed the Grant Agreement for <strong>EUFOR \u2014 \u201cEU Green Deal Forestry for Ukraine: EU Forest Strategy, Nature Restoration, and Post-War Land Recovery.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Agreement entered into force on <strong>10 September 2026<\/strong>. The project will run for <strong>36 months, from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2029<\/strong>, under the <strong>Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Actions in Higher Education: Teaching and Research<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EUFOR will integrate European Union policies on forests, biodiversity and nature restoration into Ukrainian higher education, professional training, research and public dialogue. It will connect the European Green Deal, the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030, the EU Forest Strategy for 2030 and European nature restoration approaches with Ukraine\u2019s post-war recovery needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project will develop and deliver:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>two Bachelor-level courses on EU forest policy and the restoration of degraded territories;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a professional training programme on the renaturalisation of affected land;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a summer school on European strategies for forest and land recovery;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>research and academic publications on sustainable forest governance, nature restoration and post-war transformation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>open educational resources, expert discussions, outreach activities and a final conference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The EUFOR team will deliver <strong>350 hours of teaching and professional training<\/strong>. Activities will engage students, educators, researchers, forestry, environmental and agricultural professionals, public authorities, local communities, businesses and civil society organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The signing of the Grant Agreement marks the start of EUFOR\u2019s implementation phase.
