Volodymyr Trotsenko acts in the project as a senior lecturer / expert in agrotechnology / consultant / researcher and research lecturer

Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor and Head of the Department of Agrotechnology and Soil Science of Sumy National Agrarian University. Highly qualified specialist in the field of agrotechnology, breeding and seed production, who has significant experience in the development of adaptive varieties of agricultural crops and their technological support. His scientific activities are aimed at implementing sustainable approaches in crop production, reducing the chemical load on agroecosystems and integrating biotechnological methods into production.

Within the project, he performs the role of senior lecturer, expert in agrotechnology, consultant and researcher, providing:

-Development and teaching of the academic discipline on ecological agriculture and regulation of agroecosystems in accordance with EU standards.

-Introduction of environmental innovations into the educational process, in particular, biologization of agricultural technologies, adaptation of new varieties to climate change and reduction of the impact of agricultural technologies on the environment.

-Consulting support to agribusiness and farms in the implementation of environmental standards and certified production that meets market requirements.

-Research and practical implementation of sustainable agriculture technologies through cooperation with agricultural sector enterprises.

-International integration into scientific developments, which allows adapting modern European approaches to agroecosystem management in Ukrainian realities.

His role in the project is an effective factor in the qualitative implementation of European environmental standards into the agricultural education system, training of a new generation of specialists and the formation of sustainable agricultural technologies in the face of global environmental challenges.

Volodymyr Trotsenko is a co-author of a number of scientific studies that cover current issues of agronomy, plant genetics, biotechnology and environmental aspects of agriculture. His scientific work is aimed at improving agricultural technologies, optimizing crop growing conditions, and reducing the negative impact of agricultural production on the environment.

In addition, among his publications is a study devoted to:

Genetic mechanisms of early maturity in cotton (Euphytica, 2020);

Modeling sunflower productivity in the conditions of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine (Bulletin of the Sumy National Agrarian University, 2020);

Studying the collection of buckwheat for summer sowing (AgroLife Scientific Journal, 2020);

The influence of mineral fertilizers on wheat yield and quality (Agronomy Research, 2021);

Studying the influence of retardants on the rice and structure of sunflower yield (Bulletin of the Sumy National Agrarian University, 2021);

Development of methods for reducing the accumulation of cadmium in wheat grain (Ecological and Experimental Botany, 2022);

Physiological and molecular mechanisms of cadmium accumulation in grain crops (Plant Growth Regulation, 2024);

Identification of genes affecting the formation of fruiting branches in cotton (Euphytica, 2024).

Scientific works indicate the active participation of Volodymyr Trotsenko in research that is important for the development of environmentally friendly agricultural technologies, increasing the efficiency of crop production and introducing innovative biotechnological methods in agriculture.

His scientific activities meet the goals of the grant project “Introduction of environmental innovations into the sphere of agricultural education in the context of European integration”, contributing to the development of new methods of environmental protection, optimization of resource use and adaptation of the agricultural sector of Ukraine to modern challenges.
