Ihor Kovalenko acts in the Project as a supervisor/senior expert/ consultant/researcher and academic staff member.
He has conceived the Project and is responsible for the design and overall structure of the Project.
Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Ecology and Botany, Rector of Sumy National Agrarian University.
His teaching and research experience is 20 years and has more than 100 publications. I. Kovalenko is the manager of scientific projects on the following topics: – “improving Laboratory Practice Skills Among Specialists of the Agri-Food Industry in Eastern Europe / Ag-Lab 586383-EPP-1-2017-SI-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP ERASMUS + KA2″ (2017/2020) (Order No. 53-K dated 05.02.2018). – “Biological and Ecological Features of Growing Ginkgo Biloba L. As Organic Raw Materials, for Pharmaceutical Needs by Creating Plantations in the North-Eastern Forest Steppes of Ukraine” (2017-2020) (Order No. 1366 dated 10.10.2017).
He is a participant of international training projects (confirmed by relevant certificates): – “From Theoretically Oriented to Practical Training in the Agrarian Sector Topas 585603-EPP-1-2017-DE-EPPKF2-CBHE-JP ERASMUS + KA2″ (2017/2020); – Erasmus+ KA1 academic mobility program under the Erasmus Partnership Agreement between the University of Applied Sciences Weienstephan-Triesdorf (Germany) and SNAU” (2017/2018), “Development of Sustainable Agriculture – 360° Farm Assessment and Development of a Common Development Strategy” Nestle LLC and the Swiss Cooperation Office in Ukraine (2017/2018).

He is a member of the National Environmental Center of Ukraine, a member of the Sumy Branch of the Ukrainian Botanical Society, Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Bulletin of Sumy National Agrarian University”, Series “Agronomy and Biology”; member of the editorial board of the scientific journal “Bulletin of Agrarian Science of the Black Sea Region”, member of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Desnianskyi-Starohutskyi National Nature Park.
